Chambéry

The bus station is open to passengers, their luggage transported by bus and to all public transport companies, urban or non-urban, according to fixed schedules and within the framework of authorizations duly issued by Trans Fer Route Savoie and subject to a use agreement with the manager.

The rules define the general conditions of access and use of bus stations located in Savoie in order to guarantee the best service to users and to ensure their safety and peace of mind.

Prohibited activities

Any activity contrary to the laws and regulations in force, as well as to public tranquility and health is prohibited, namely:

  • Commercial or other canvassing without prior agreement from the Manager,
  • Consumption of alcoholic beverages or narcotic products,
  • The introduction of animals into stations with the exception of those kept on a leash or transported in a basket,
  • the use of tobacco in the covered areas assigned to collective use, Law No. 92-32 of January 10, 1991,
  • The affixing of posters and commercial advertisements or unauthorized advertising inscriptions,
  • Damage to the cleanliness of premises and facilities,
  • The introduction into stations of firearms, explosive or toxic materials,
  • Degradations of all kinds.

Tranquility of users

  • The use of any rolling machine (scooter, skate, etc.) or motorized or non-motorized cycles is strictly prohibited within the confines of bus stations.
  • The use of sound devices or instruments which could disturb the peace of travelers or interfere with the dissemination of announcements is prohibited inside bus stations.
  • All games of balls, balloons or the like are prohibited inside bus stations,
  • Begging and hawking are prohibited inside bus stations,
  • No baggage should be left unattended.

Access condition

All the bus stations in Savoie are equipped with access control, and only vehicles with a badge can access it 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Any new carrier wishing to access bus stations should contact Trans Fer Route Savoie to retrieve the transit request form as well as the procedures for issuing badges.

For occasional Services, an email request (grchambery@orange.fr) must be made to the station manager within 72 hours.

The operator of the bus stations reserves the right to refuse access to buses in the event of site saturation.

Carrier insurance

The carrier’s civil liability is incurred in the event of damage to property or to a person as a result of his activity within the scope of the bus stations. The guarantees provided by these companies must cover material and other damage caused by the movement of buses. Any damage caused by these companies will remain entirely at their expense and the repairs caused by this damage will be carried out by the Manager who will re-invoice the actual carrier to the concerned carrier.

Traffic and access to the dock

The bus station is equipped with 10 bus platforms, including 3 for regional express transport and 15 regulation platforms. These platforms are exclusively designed for passenger pick-up and handling.

Access to the platforms is authorized five minutes before the recognition of travelers, except for regional express transport buses (ten minutes).

Buses with trailers are not allowed inside the bus station.

  • Automobile traffic within the precincts of bus stations is strictly limited to authorized vehicles,
  • The rules of the Highway Code are applicable in bus stations,
  • The speed of all vehicles circulating in the enclosure of the stations is limited to 10 km / h,
  • Double-file stopping is prohibited,
  • The allocation of platforms is carried out by the manager or agents of the bus stations,
  • reverse operations, outside the quayside, are strictly prohibited except in cases of force majeure. In this case, the operation will be carried out under the responsibility of the driver,
  • Stopping the engines is mandatory as soon as the bus is docked,

Authority of the manager and his agents

The manager and officers of the bus stations are responsible for maintaining public order and complying with internal regulations. They may, if necessary, call on the police to expel the person or persons who do not comply with the provisions of these regulations and of the legislation in force.

They can, when unlabeled baggage left unattended is found inside a bus station, activate the Vigipirate Plan.

Bus station users and transport company staff must strictly comply with any instructions, indications or notices given to them by the manager, either by posting or verbally through station staff.

Penalties

In the event of non-compliance with these regulations, the station manager and agents are empowered to apply penalties for breaches duly notified to carriers:

  • Annoying parking: 60 € excl tax
  • Non-compliance with the instructions of the agents of the bus stations: 60 € excl tax
  • Use of the docks without prior request: 60 € excl tax
  • Forced opening of the barriers: 200 € excl tax
  • Double-row parking: 60 € excl tax
  • Non-compliance with operating regulations other than the cases mentioned above: 60 € excl tax

Register of comments

A register is kept in each bus station to receive comments and suggestions from travelers and carriers concerning the operation of the station.
